UNITY WORX FOUNDATION – LOTTERY COMPETITION RULES/ TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. PURPOSE OF THE LOTTERY
• The Unity Worx Foundation conducts lotteries to raise funds exclusively for charitable and social development programmes, including but not limited
to:
• Funds raised will support operational project costs, materials, and programme implementation as declared per scheme.
2. DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATION
• “Act” – National Lotteries Act, 1997 (as amended)
• “NLC” – National Lotteries Commission
• “Draw” – The random selection of winners under each scheme
• “Participant” – Any person legally purchasing a lottery ticket
• “Prize” – Any reward offered in each scheme
• “Ticket” – A valid entry purchased in accordance with these rules
• “Contingency Prize” – A proportional prize awarded if ticket sales are insufficient to fund the advertised prize
3. ELIGIBILITY
• Participants must be 18 years or older.
• Tickets may not be sold to:
• Each ticket purchase constitutes acceptance of these rules.
4. TICKET SALES AND CONTROL
• Tickets are sold at the fixed price declared per scheme.
• Each draw has a maximum number of tickets, set per scheme.
• Tickets are sold via:
• Each ticket is unique, sequentially numbered, and linked to a specific
draw.
• Ticket sales open and close according to the declared schedule.
5. PRIZES AND CONTINGENCY SOLUTION
• Each scheme has one main prize advertised.
• Contingency Clause / Prize Funding Solution:
• Unity Worx Foundation may also provide additional contingency prizes if ticket sales exceed minimum thresholds.
• All prizes are secured via written guarantees or purchased directly using draw proceeds.
6. DRAW PROCEDURES AND WINNER DETERMINATION
• Each draw is conducted independently and randomly.
• Draws are supervised by Unity Worx Foundation representatives and an independent observer.
• Winning tickets are verified against the official ticket register.
• Draw results are final and binding.
7. PRIZE REDEMPTION
• Winners must present proof of ticket purchase and valid identification.
• Prizes will be awarded within 14 days of verification.
• A signed acknowledgment will be retained by Unity Worx Foundation for all prize redemptions.
8. UNCLAIMED PRIZES AND UNSOLD TICKETS
• Prizes not claimed within 90 days will be allocated to the relevant project associated with the scheme.
• Unity Worx Foundation will make reasonable attempts to contact winners.
• Unsold tickets are excluded from draws, securely stored, and recorded.
9. PUBLICITY AND TRANSPARENCY
• Winners’ names and images may be used for publicity with consent.
• Participants may access results via:
• Draw procedures, ticket numbering, and prize allocation will be fully
documented and auditable.
10. PARTICIPANT PROTECTION AND FAIRNESS
• Each participant has an equal and fair chance of winning.
• All lotteries are conducted in compliance with the Act and NLC Regulations.
• Unity Worx Foundation is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.
• Disputes will be resolved by Unity Worx Foundation in accordance with the Act and reported to the NLC if required.
11. GOVERNANCE AND AUDIT
• Lottery proceeds are managed according to approved allocation structures per scheme, including:
• Full records of ticket sales, draws, prizes, and allocations are retained for NLC audit and inspection.
12. AMENDMENTS TO RULES
• Unity Worx Foundation may amend rules only with prior written approval
from the NLC.
• Amendments will be publicly disclosed prior to implementation.
13. ACCEPTANCE OF RULES
• Purchase of a lottery ticket constitutes full acceptance of these rules.
• Participants agree to abide by all rules and reasonable decisions made by Unity Worx Foundation.
